Our Process
Every engagement follows a structured, proven process — designed to maximise the probability of a successful long-term outcome for both the fund manager and the allocator.
Step One
An in-depth review of the manager's investment approach, track record, team quality, operational infrastructure and risk management. We evaluate competitive positioning relative to peer groups and establish correlation to industry benchmarks. The experience, talent and integrity of the investment team are critical inputs to our assessment.
Step Two
We identify the specific gap in the Australian financial services landscape that the strategy is positioned to fill. This means mapping the manager to the right allocator segments, understanding prevailing market themes, and articulating a compelling investment narrative that resonates with sophisticated local investors.
Step Three
Before any introductions are made, FUNDDS and the manager co-design a clear set of goals and expectations for the engagement. This step is critical — it ensures both parties are aligned and dramatically reduces the chance of disappointment. We only proceed when we have genuine confidence in the outcome.
Step Four
Targeted introductions to our trusted network of family offices, HNW investors and sophisticated advisers across Australia and New Zealand. Introductions are made thoughtfully — only where there is genuine fit between the strategy and the allocator's objectives.
Step Five
We manage ongoing engagement with allocators — nurturing confidence, addressing due diligence queries and supporting the process through to capital commitment. We do not disappear after the introduction; we remain present until the outcome is achieved.
Step Six
Post-placement, we remain engaged as a long-term partner — protecting the relationship, supporting the manager's growing Australian presence and identifying further opportunities as they arise. Our interests are structurally aligned for the long term.
